Please note that swimmers are not allowed to change practice times without first clearing it with the Head Coach. There are no “Make-up” practices.

If your swimmer is late to practice, send a note to the coach. Without a note, coaches will have to assume that swimmers were dropped off on time and were playing in the locker room. Unexcused tardiness will be punished.

Practices are divided into groups based on ability level. We cannot guarantee that friends will be in the same practice groups. The groups are divided into four levels: Rookies (providing an introduction to competitive swimming), Novice (can swim 50 yds comfortably, but not a 200 IM), for developmental swimmers, Intermediate (can swim a 200 IM comfortably, but not 5x200 IM set), and Advanced (can swim a set of 5x200IM’s as part of a regular practice –pretty is not required, perseverant is).

Coaches will in some cases need to move swimmers into a more appropriate practice group. We reserve theright to make changes throughout the season. A swimmer may end up in two different practice groups depending on the day (Monday he/she is a top Novice, and Tuesday he/she is at the slow end of Intermediate).
