Ellis Lifeguard Training  (15 years & up)

This course certifies candidates in Ellis Lifeguard Training. It offers a license to work in Ellis licensed facilities, as well as a certificate of completion to work at non-Ellis facilities. Training includes lifesaving skills, personal safety, CPR for the professional rescuer, aquatic first aid, emergency procedures, public relations, pool maintenance, and other lifeguard duties.  You must be at least 15 years of age and have strong swimming abilities. Attendance is required at all classes. On the first day, a water exam will be given and you must pass to continue with the course.  Lifeguards are required to be at least 16 years of age to work at the Heritage YMCA Group.
