TEEN TRAILS

(Entering Grades 6 - 8)

LOCATION: DuPage River Park
808 Royce Road • Naperville

You won’t believe what a difference a summer makes! The sprawling grounds of DuPage River Park is the site of this summer’s biggest fun with Teen Trails Camp. Each week is activity-packed! Activities are designed to build your teen’s independence and leadership skills. They will include cooperative cookout planning, fishing, archery, swimming, a weekly field trip and leadership opportunities with our Kiddie Kamp program. Most importantly, Teen Trails forges lasting friendships.

Camp Hours – Regular camp drop-off begins at DuPage River Park starting at 9:00 a.m. and pick-up by 4:00 p.m. Extended camp still runs from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm with drop-off and pick-up at Central Park (behind the Kroehler Family YMCA). The bus will leave Central Park at 7:45 a.m. and return at approximately 5:00 p.m.

MORE FUN – Campers will swim two (2) days per week at Centennial Beach and go on two (2) field trips per week.

SKILL SESSIONS – Each week campers will participate in a variety of 40-minute sessions that will help develop new skills and build on the ones they already have. Each skill will be held three times per week in the morning from 9:50 - 10:30 am and 10:50 - 11:30 am. Skill sessions planned for this summer are:

  • Outdoor Adventures - Learn how to build a shelter, cook a meal over a campfire and wilderness survival skills

  • Orienteering (Compass Skills) - Learn the basic compass skills, then find your way around camp using our special camp maps

  • Games - Traditional camp games like capture the flag, dodgeball and more

  • Fishing - Catch and release only in our fishing pond

  • Arts and Crafts

  • All-Stars Sports - Rotating sports skill clinic

  • Leadership - Improve and strengthen your leadership potential through games and initiatives

  • Health & Fitness
