PATHFINDERS

(Entering Grades 1 - 5)

LOCATION: DuPage River Sports Complex
2807 S. Washington St. • Naperville

Are you looking for a safe, fun and action-packed day at camp? NEW this year, Pathfinders is moving to DuPage River Sports Complex! Committed to the “Leave No Child Inside” national initiative, your camper will enjoy a traditional day camp in one of Naperville’s best parks with 65 acres equipped with basketball courts, a new open-air pavilion and restrooms, softball fields and a skate park. For 27 years, Pathfinders has provided camper’s days filled with swimming, team sports, group games, arts and crafts and weekly field trips. Our energetic counselors have years of experience and quality training to ensure your child has a great camp experience. With extended hours, Pathfinders serves residents of both north and south Naperville with a convenient schedule from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm. Creating memorable summers, that’s the Pathfinders tradition!

Camp Hours – Regular camp drop-off begins at DuPage River Park starting at 9:00 a.m. and pick-up by 4:00 p.m. Extended camp still runs from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm with drop-off and pick-up at Central Park (behind the Kroehler Family YMCA). The bus will leave Central Park at 7:45 a.m. and returns at approximately 5:00 p.m.

MORE FUN – Campers will be going on one (1) field trip per week and swim two (2) days per week.

SKILL SESSIONS – Each week campers will participate in 40-minute skill sessions that will help develop new skills and build on the ones campers already have. Campers will attend two skill sessions each day. Each skill will be held three times per week in the morning from 9:50 - 10:30 am and 10:50 - 11:30 am.
Skill sessions this summer are:

  • Outdoor Adventures - Learn how to build a shelter, cook a meal over a campfire and wilderness survival skills

  • Orienteering (Compass Skills) - Learn the basic compass skills, then find your way around camp using our special camp maps

  • Games - Traditional camp games like capture the flag, dodgeball and much more

  • Archery - Learn the basics of Archery (for Voyagers; 4-5 graders only)

  • Fishing - Catch and release only in our fishing pond

  • Arts and Crafts

  • All-Stars Sports - Rotating sports skill clinic

  • Health & Fitness

  • Bookmobile

Participants will receive a camp T-shirt for each camp (maximum 5). T-shirts are distributed the first day of camp.
