What is CELC?
The YMCA Children's Early Learning Campus is a DCFS licensed, full- time
child care service divided into specific age-appropriate programs to
provide your children with fun experiences and
high quality learning. The YMCA CELC uses The Creative
Curriculum as the blueprint for planning and implementing a
developmentally appropriate program. The ultimate goal of the
staff is to help young children acquire social competence and the
skills they need to succeed as they embark on life.
Infants: six weeks to 14 months
Toddlers 1: 15 months to 23 months
Toddlers 2: 24 months to 36 months
Preschool: 3 Years old by Sept. 1st
Preschool: 4 Years old by Sept. 1st
Extracurricular
Involvement:
As part of the YMCA, great extracurricular programs will be offered to
your child, such as: swim lessons, martial arts, second
language, ballet, etc. |
Our Staff
YMCA CELC staff members are dedicated, professional teachers with
education, child development, or early childhood education. Our
highly qualified staff exceed minimum standards for State of Illinois
licensing. They earn continuing education credits yearly and are certified
in CPR and first aid. Our goal is to provide children with an
atmosphere of warmth, security and learning continuity that meets the
