Site Director
Supervisor: Program Director
Prerequisites:
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
- Must possess good communication and organizational skills
- 2 years of college preferred or experience working directly
with children
- Must have or obtain First Aid and CPR certification (within
first 30 days)
General Responsibilities:
The Site Director will be responsible for the
daily operation of a before and after school program. This includes
planning, implementation, and supervision of the daily activities
of the before and after school program. At times it may include
the school days out program.

Staff Training:
- Attend all staff meetings and training events as scheduled.
Program Development:
- Assist in creating and implementing innovative activities
for before and after school program and school days out program.
- Support the mission and philosophy of the YMCA and reflect
these principles in your actions and promotion of all YMCA programs
Site Specific Responsibilities:
- Supervise and insure the safety of all program participants.
- Conduct daily activities in accordance with established curriculum.
- Have direct involvement with the children by leading activities.
- Organize and maintain all equipment and supplies including
daily snack supply.
- Supervise and lead staff as well as advise them of daily responsibilities.
- Facilitate proper group behavior in all situations.
- Adhere to all rules, regulations and policies set forth by
the YMCA and the school district.
- Maintain all attendance, incident, accident, supply, snack,
and participant records.
- Assist Program Director with family programming involving
participant's families.
- Communicate regularly with participant's family and school
staff.
- Communicate regularly with the center office.
Effect on End Results:
The before and after school program will be
a quality youth program adhering to the principles and purpose
of the YMCA mission, thus building strong kids, strong families,
and strong communities.
