For the children that attend the NFRC we offer a safe and caring environment after school, days when there is no school and during the summer months.  For the parents and families we offer life skill, job enhancement and parenting classes.

 

The programs that we offer are all at no cost to the participants of the NFRC.

 

After school program:

 

The NFRC offers children a variety of age-appropriate activities.  There are opportunities for both structured and unstructured activities. Including:

  • Group discussion emphasizing character development

  • Active time, both indoor and outdoor group games and sports

  • Healthy snacks

  • Creative time for arts and crafts

  • Homework and quiet reading time with access to computers and internet

  • Free choice time

 

The program is based on the YMCA four core values:
Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.

 

Summer Camp:

 

The NFRC offers a wide variety of camp activities during the summer months. Including:

  • Two days of swimming each week

  • Weekly field trips to fun, exciting and educational locations

  • Opportunities to visit other YMCA camps for weekly cookouts
